How to Access and Log Into ArcGIS Field Maps
Introduction to ArcGIS Field Maps
ArcGIS Field Maps is an all-in-one app that combines map viewing, data collection, and GPS navigation capabilities, enabling city staff to carry out field operations efficiently. This tool is essential for managing geospatial data in real-time, directly from your mobile devices.
Before You Begin
Ensure your device meets the necessary requirements for the Field Maps app. If you need a new device, follow the City of Bellevue's procurement process to ensure compatibility. For assistance with device compatibility or purchasing, contact the Help Desk at ITSupport.
Obtaining Access
Before you can start using the Field Maps app, you will need your permissions updated to be able to view and edit data and maps. Submit a service request and provide details on the specific map you need to access.
Downloading Field Maps
- Open the App Store on your device.
- Search for "ArcGIS Field Maps".
- Ensure the App is published by Esri.
- Download and install the app.
- Once installed, tap OPEN to launch the app.
Logging Into Field Maps
- Tap on the Field Maps icon on your device.
- Select Sign In with ArcGIS Enterprise.
- When prompted, choose "Specify a New URL" and enter: https://cobgis.maps.arcgis.com. If not prompted, select the URL directly.
- Enter your email address and network password.
- If required, enter your RSA token code: Open the RSA app on the same device to copy and paste the code directly.
- If connected via the City’s secured Verizon tunnel, you will not need to enter a token code.

After logging in, if your web map includes secured layers:
- Tap View on any notification about secured layers.
- Tap the orange triangle icon of the first layer to authenticate.
- Enter your username (not email) and password, then tap Sign In. Notice the layer's icon changes to a blue slider button to toggle the layer on/off.
