RSA Registration on Windows Computer
RSA application is a required multifactor authentication tool to allow users to login into City of Bellevue VPN and applications outside of the City Network. RSA registration is required on certain Bellevue Police Department computers for CJIS requirements.
This guide will show you how to register for SecurID Authenticator on Windows computer. If you were issued City of Bellevue Windows computer, it is beneficial to install the application on the City issued laptop.
1. Press Windows Start Menu button and type in Microsoft Store. Click on Microsoft Store application to open it.
2. On the top search bar of Microsoft Store, type in SecureID Authenticator.
3. Click on “Get”. Wait for the application to download and install. Open the application and click on “Accept”
5. Enter your City of Bellevue username and password (credentials you use to login into your computer). Your password cannot be expired. \
6. Click “OK” for Accessing Your Location. Mark the checkbox “Remember this browser” and click on “Continue”.
7. You will be greeted by the landing page that will have "Register an authenticator" button. Click on the registration button.
1. If you previously had a device registered and purchase a new device, you will need to hover over your previously registered device and click on the trashcan button to remove it. You are only allowed to register one device at a time.
8. You will have a choice of 3 different buttons to click on. You would want to click on the far-left button. Then press “Next” to move to the next screen with a QR code or registration details.
9. In the SecurID application on your computer click on the “+” icon to put in the credential information from the web browser.
10. You will see “Successful Registration” in the browser screen and in the SecurID application. In the application you will see an 8-digit code with a 60 second count down timer. This code needs to be entered into any prompts that are requesting it. The code will automatically change after 60 second timer runs out.
