City of Bellevue Password Reset Instructions

Your City of Bellevue password is valid for 90 days. Every 90 days the password will need to be reset.

Password complexity requirements:

Password must be at least 8 characters long.
Must contain at least one uppercase character such A through Z
Must contain at least one number 0 through 9
Must contain non-alphanumerical special characters such as ~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/
You must have used 10 unique new passwords before an old password can be reused

Password Change Before Your Password has Expired on City of Bellevue Computer connected to VPN or City Network:

Log in to your work computer. Make sure to connect to VPN if you are working remotely.
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL
Click on "Change a password"
Enter your old password then enter your new password and confirm the new password
After successful password update, lock your computer screen by pressing Windows Key and L. Log back into your computer with the new password.

Expired Password Change with a City of Bellevue Computer connected to City Network:

Log in to your work computer.
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL on your keyboard at the same time
Click on "Change a password"
Enter your old password then ether your new password and confirm the new password

Expired Password Change without a City of Bellevue Computer or without VPN/City Network connection:

Click on this link Update Password
Enter your City of Bellevue email address and old password. Then enter and confirm your new password and click on "Submit". You should see the "Password Updated" message.
1. Follow steps 3-4 if you are working remotely on a City of Bellevue computer
Connect to VPN. When logging into the VPN, please enter your new password.
After a successful VPN connection it is important to press Windows Key and L on your keyboard simultaneously to lock your screen. After your screen locks, log back in with your new password.
